A exciting playable preview is set to go live on January 7th, granting a substantial taste into the game's opening hours. More Than a Straightforward Re-release: The Thorough Transformation

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined represents a comprehensive re-envisioning of the landmark 2000 role-playing game, originally titled Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable step away from other series remakes, like the recently released HD-2D iterations, this reimagining adopts a striking 3D visual presentation. Locales have been crafted to look like intricate dioramas, with protagonists sporting a whimsical toy-like appearance.

Major Gameplay Improvements & Modernizations

Square Enix have introduced numerous modernizations to streamline the classic experience. These include:

• Expedited Overworld Battles: Inspired by contemporary role-playing games, low-level monsters are now defeated directly on the field eliminating the need for initiating a separate turn-based combat screen.
• Variable Battle Speed: Players have the option to speed up battle sequences to rapidly power through simpler encounters.
• New Job Mechanics: One brand new character role was introduced for this reimagining. Furthermore, characters now have the ability to take on a secondary vocation, greatly enhancing customization possibilities.

These refinements are designed to mitigate one of the 2000 title's most noted points of feedback: its daunting playtime. That initial main quest could easily take more than 100 hours to finish. The reimagined version has been expressly reworked to improve pacing and cut down on any repetition.
